A lone teacher in a back-woods village school is blamed for the murder of a local, pregnant girl. He must find and expose the true killer before he is hung by a kangaroo court.

SYNOPSIS:

The back-woods village of Excelsior appears to be quietly rural when newly graduated Graham is appointed to the one-teacher school. His enthusiasm soon turns to dismay as he plumbs the depths of human depravity when defenseless, shy Millie, the mistreated servant in the guesthouse where he is living, is found pregnant and soon after dead. As the unknown new-comer, he is at first suspected, then blamed. Shocked and frightened, he proclaims his innocence, but must identify, expose and prove the real killer before he is summarily hanged by a kangaroo court.
