Based on a true story, recalling the endurance of the human spirit, a Doctor in a mining town in Alaska has an epidemic on his hands.   Having already lost children to Diphtheria, and fast running out of serum, he's faced with an anxious wait while a relay team of riders on sledges embarks on a mission to deliver replacement serum before more lives are lost.  Do they make it before the whole town falls victim to the disease?
