September 1983, Phillip and Elizabeth Jennings are ordered by Moscow to assist a KGB assassin on a top secret mission that could lead to war.

SYNOPSIS:

Dressed as a green beret, KGB officer Michael Stanley gives a lecture on using terrorism as deception to wage war on your enemies in front of high ranking KGB officers. Meanwhile FBI agent Beeman learns of the arrival a coded message at the Soviet embassy from a source inside. The message is then transmitted to Phillip and Elizabeth alerting them to the arrival of Michael Stanley and ordering them to assist him in a special operation whose target which they have no need to know. For some years now the Soviet government has become paranoid of the Regan administration’s anti-communist rhetoric and the KGB has launched operation RYAN to search for evidence of a secret U.S. nuclear strike against Soviet Union. A paranoia they believe is heading down a dangerous path. Phillip makes contact Michael and moves him to a safe house in Georgetown where Michael tells him they are to follow his orders and to service a dead drop for a high ranking agent known as Weatherman. Later Michael calls Weatherman at his office in the White House revealing him to be Dale Trumbo a high ranking staff member.
