By F. Aaron Franklin

GENRE: Thriller
LOGLINE:

A friverous rape claim on a college campus catalyzes a series of unlikely and deadly events.

SYNOPSIS:

It's no secret that Queen Bee ROSIE has it out for ALANA, a docile legacy. Perhaps it has something to do with Alana's romantic involvement with MARCUS, Rosie former flame. One fateful night, when Rosie notes that there may be trouble in Alana and Marcus' flourishing paradise, she slyly plants a seed of doubt in Alana's head. Though the intentions were by no means innocent, even Rosie could never have possibly imagined just how quickly that little seed would grow into a veritable jungle of despair; and ultimately death. Alana not only ends things with Marcus, but to put her own spin on things, she adds a rape claim to the mix. One which would split the campus in two, and take Rosie and her sisters along with it. While house mother LUANNE, a ravishing southern belle and MARISSA, Rosie's haughty, high energy best friend take Alana's side, snarky, pseudo-hipster LYNDSIE finds the story somewhat fishy. As for Rosie herself, she doesn't want to believe it, but she isn't sure just what to think. So she finds out the only way she knows how; an abrasive and unapologetic confrontation. And as always, Rosie gets her money's worth. Alana confides in Rosie that she not only contrived the tale, but threatens to implicate Rosie as the catalyst if it doesn't stay between them. Rosie quickly reveals that she has been recording the exchange, leading to a brief but intense physical altercation, leaving Alana unconscious. Rosie rushes to Marcus' dorm suite. There, she finds him dead. While it at first appears to be a suicide, when the virtually catatonic Rosie returns to a sorority house surrounded by flashing lights and gawkers, she learns that Alana has been murdered. As the last person seen entering and exiting both Alana's and Marcus' rooms, coupled with her animosity toward both, Rosie is taken to the local jail as a person of interest. The group is again torn. Marissa believes in her heart that Rosie is innocent; if only there were some way to counter the seemingly overwhelming evidence. Despite a stern warning from Luanne, she comes up with a plan to skew the situation in Rosie's favor. if the killer is still at large, Rosie couldn't possibly be guilty. With a little help from her friends, a killer is born, with the intent of simply staging a few chases, coupled with a handful of sightings. By the time Rosie is released, and makes her way home, it has become very apparent that the fictitious killer had very different plans, and now has but one final matter to take clear up; one who will be making her way through the door right...about...
