The world is being plagued by natural disasters; some believe it is global warming, while others believe it is God's punishment. However, the reality is much more sinister.

SYNOPSIS:

Winston and his wife decided to leave the farm and go for a walk on a country road. The sun was shining, and the skies were clear. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a fast-moving storm approached. Before they could get back to the farm, the storm overtook them. The wind and other unknown forces had frozen them in place. His wife was lifted up in the air, then torn from his arms and vanished. Only one shoe was all that remained of her. He believed that, for a brief moment, he saw something in the clouds. labeled as crazy, he made every effort to get to his wife. He made attempt after attempt to get taken during a storm so that he could rescue his wife. During one of his attempts, he is witnessed driving into a tornado. The vehicle was lifted up and thrown into a corn field. Two expert storm chasers were able to free him from the car. While explaining what he was doing, he passed out. Following an operation to remove a tumor he didn't know he had, he befriended a girl named April. When more and more natural disasters take place, he volunteers to help FEMA search for survivors. While working, he hears stories of workers only finding the bodies of kids and the elderly. He goes to see for himself at the temporary morgue. While there, he meets a doctor who has pieced together the pieces. Some force, alien or demonic, is taking healthy, strong adults for a special purpose. Before the doctor can report to his superiors, he vanishes. While on a rescue mission following an earthquake, he rescues a little girl. The building collapses on an Army nurse, but just before she is crushed, she disappears. A dark element in the government is working with those taking people during storms to shut up Winston and his companions. Winston discovers the ideal opportunity to attempt to reach his wife once more, following his rescue by a black-ops unit. He gets into a car and charges into a tornado; this time the car is lifted, and he is taken. He awakens naked in an alien pod. When he revives, he hides quickly when he hears someone coming. It is a hideous creature with deformed extremities. He grabs a makeshift weapon and approaches the creature. When the creature moves closer, he notices something familiar about it. It is his wife; he calls her by her name. She doesn't recognize him and attacks like a wild animal, forcing him to mortally wound her. While lying in his arms, dying, she looks up and smiles, grateful that her suffering is coming to an end.
