By Rick Blackwell

GENRE: Thriller, Western
LOGLINE:

A sheriff seeks vengeance for the brutally raped, mutilation and murder of his sister by a serial killer who is being protected by a gang of marauders.

SYNOPSIS:

While Sheriff Clay was out of town attending a trial, a ruthless gang of killers rode into his small town. One of them murdered his sister in a heinous way. So he gave up his badge and vowed to track them down and make them pay. He has crossed paths with four of them in a small town. A shoot-out ensues that leaves Clay seriously wounded and three of the four dead. Clay is taken to a nearby wagon train for medical attention. While recovering, he befriends the brother and sister who saved his life. After noticing a dozen Indian braves riding and watching the wagon train, Seth and Clay make an offering of cattle to the Cheyenne in exchange for traveling across their lands. The Cheyenne accept the peace offering and allow the wagon train to travel unharmed. The Cheyenne are always just a short distance away. The remaining members of the gang discover Clay's location and set out for the wagon train. Believing the gang members might be held up in a nearby town, Clay leaves the wagon train. Meanwhile on the trail he finds a sheriff of the small town clinging to life. He discovers that the gang is already looking for him and knows about the wagon train. The gang arrives at the wagon train first and takes Seth and Emily hostage. A young Cheyenne girl comes calling for Emily and catches the attention of one of the killers. Wade, unable to control himself, kills her. The gang leaves with Emily as a hostage and shoots many of the people of the wagon train as they ride away. Clay returns hours after they have left to find that Seth has been shot, but still alive. The Cheyenne discover the young girl's body and blame the people of the Wagon train. Seth and Clay manage to get the wagon train into a circle in order to fight back. After a daring trick, Clay manages to speak with Red Cloud, the chief of the Cheyenne and brokers a deal. He, Seth and an Indian brave are given three days in which time to bring Catori's killer to the Cheyenne or else everyone in the wagon train will be put to death.
