The year 410 AD, Britannica. Roman Army commander ALDER is ordered to evacuate all troops and families, immediately. Of the returning families, two teenagers of different social classes, cross paths, and work together to survive the long march home to Italy. 

SYNOPSIS:

Short Synopsis;

The Vandal army, from north of Rome, are threatening the city of Rome. The Imperial order is given out to recall all armies from Gaul and Britannia, immediately to come and defend the city.

The enter community of soldiers and families from Hadrian’s Wall, up and depart, marching all the way to Rome to help defend it from the attacking Vandals.

The totally, incompetent Commander ALDER, of this returning force, leads his force to Gaul, then Italy, while defending his troops families, from one attack to another by raiding Gaul, and Germanic tribes.

Two teenagers, one the Commanders daughter CASSIA and the other an ordinary soldier’s son, FELIX, learn the hard way, through battles and hard times, as they strive to learn to cooperate, eventually learn to love each other. Along with Felix’s mother- PORCIA, they finally find a home and make a family, far from ROME, which by the time they arrive has been sacked by the Vandals.
