A once-prominent director is black-balled in Hollywood and faces the end of his illustrious career when he is approached by a phlegmatic Chinese entrepreneur who offers him a chance at redemption.
SYNOPSIS:
After another tirade with studio execs, Brandt Thomason faces the abrupt end to his prominent Hollywood career. His initial reaction after the rug is pulled from under him, Brandt looks to Addison -- his on again, off again business partner and life partner for help. When she shuts him down and his publicist Bobbi punctuates his continued indiscretions, Brandt believes that there is no place from him in Hollywood leading to his faint attempt at suicide. Brandt leans on his past accomplishments and Marsh Anders, a loyal cohort from day one, for support and encouragement. After their binge drinking and mansplaining texts, Brandt receives a fortuitous offer from Dong, a Chinese entrepreneur. Spurred by Brandt’s crass demeanor and Marsh's suspect morality Dong pulls the plug on the union when Marsh makes a play for Dong's assistant – and yet to be disclosed daughter. Brandt’s desperate action at the airport convinces the investors he has the passion and can become "The Dragon" they are looking for -- much to the dismay of Dong.
