SYNOPSIS:

General Benson Ugwu is installed the head of state after aborting the coup that led to the death of President Yaya Omar and he vows to punish the coup plotters who were mainly soldiers from his region, the Coastal region. But two young soldiers from North Coastal region considers the coup a sectional coup then stages a counter coup, captures, kills and overthrows General Benson Ugwu then installs General Mansah Rufus from the North coastal region as the new head of state so General Benson Ugwu’s tribes men decides to break away from the country of three regions (Coastal Region, Central Region and North coastal region).Colonel Osondu Ejike the governor of the Coastal region declares an autonomous state which General Mansah Rufus considers a sabotage and charges Colonel Osondu Ejike for treason then Lieutenant Umar Abubakah leads the government troops to arrest him and recapture the breakaway region but Colonel Osondu Ejike and his loyal soldiers resists them but experiencing heavy casualties and the lack of ammunition forces him to take a crucial decision that leaves a divided nation behind. Forty years later, Dr Dubem Ugwu the son of the late former head of state General Benson Ugwu is selected by his political party to be the party’s flag bearer in the presidential election and he embarks on a fact finding mission in search of answers and discovers a secret.
