SYNOPSIS:

“5 Years” is written along the lines of films such as “Heaven Can Wait” and “The Matrix.” After recently proposing to Kimberly, his high school girlfriend, Jason dies in a horrific car accident. He goes to an all-glass heaven (glass birds, glass castles, glass angels; for heaven is pure: There is no need for color.) Here Jason convinces his guardian angel Zemus to send him back to his love Kimberly on earth. Jason finds out that he will be reincarnated into a new body with no memories of his past life and he tries to stop Zemus and in the process puts a crack in his LIFE BAR and disappears from heaven and back to earth. Because of this, Jason will get his memory back in his new body; starting as an infant and for only 24 hours every five years, on the fifth month, fifth day, hour, minute, and the fifth second. But because heaven allowed such an occurrence, Hell can do the same thing and a demon is now on earth that also gets his memory back every five years. If this demon kills Jason, Jason’s soul will automatically be damned, but so will the body that Jason is in, which is an innocent soul. There has never been an innocent soul that has been sent to HELL. This is the ripple that could end all mankind. The only thing that can stop this is true love. Jason has to find his love Kimberly and touch her. To make matters worse, Jason has only has five chances to stop the demon. This seems impossible to do when he’s five years old, then ten, fifteen, etcetera, and for only 24 hour at a time and in a different environment never knowing where Kimberly could be. Furthermore, he is being hunted. The other option for Jason to stop all this from happening is to kill the demon before it gets him. The only problem is that if he does that his soul will automatically be damned but the body he is in will be saved. In the end he faces the fact that he must kill the demon. The twist is when he is just seconds away from doing so he realizes the demon is his son! Kimberly never had the chance to tell him that she was pregnant with his child before he died. The demon chose this body with which to find Jason. Jason’s next decision will change everything.
