SYNOPSIS:
“STORY TIME” is written along the lines of films such as “Shrek” and “Labyrinth.” A third-grade substitute teacher, Jack, refuses to read to his class for story time, saying that stories are for babies. He is gifted a magical book from a student who receives the book from a ghost, Hacksaw Henry, that transports Jack into the book piece by piece. He is now in land of Emityrots, story time spelled backwards. Jack must find the magical book that is now in Emityrots, open it, and he will be sucked back to earth. Except, in the land of Emityrots fairy tales from Jack and Jill, Mother Goose, Three Little Pigs, to Little Red Riding Hood are alive. When you read these characters as a child they are cute and cuddly characters. In my version they are completely crazy and some that are beyond evil. Jack goes on a magical and comedic adventure with his smart alec guide, a broken piece of Humpty Dumpty (only his head and shoulder) that ends in a just finale, proving that destiny does have a sense of humor.
