By Buck Biestek

GENRE: Action, Adventure, Thriller
LOGLINE: When your in-law becomes an outlaw

SYNOPSIS:

Chester Kurtz was abandoned on a doorstep a few days into his infancy. He lived a nomadic sheltered life yachting around the world with his wealthy adoptive parents. At the age of ten, he was initiated into a remote Caribbean occult, voodoo style, which scarred him for life in many ways. After inheriting millions of dollars from his deceased parents, he adapts to life on land in the town he was initially abandoned, all the while being the prime suspect in his parents’ untimely death. Chester’s non-monetary ills continue when his wife Elizabeth, conspires with her well-to-do girl pals, to have him incarcerated on false charges, in hopes of solely attaining the entire estate. Chester appears to lack social skills and is easily manipulated by Elizabeth, at least on the surface. Chester is a man of few words but his actions are loud and clear. Elizabeth uses her charm to seduce the local State’s Attorney, John “Jack” Hammer, who by no means is a stand up jurist, to ensure her plan will work. Chester is tipped off by a concerned courthouse worker who has her own suspicions about the corrupt Jack Hammer. Chester outsmarts them all, including his brother-in-law bondsman Sonny Royal. Chester drains the bank accounts and hits the only place he feels comfortable, the open seas. With the aid of an old ally, Det. McNabb Frazier, he is able to stay under the radar until Sonny tracks him down on the island of Tortola. Sonny’s apprehension mission turns into a life and death crisis as he pursues Chester, and exposes the cult leader, Ishma Zulu. Chester is eventually apprehended by Sonny, and brought back to face Judge Carl Pellino, who has his own dark secrets to reveal.
