SYNOPSIS:

Overview: Reapers is a series about a small group of teenage assassins trying to clean up the murderous streets of Chicago, under their mother’s direction. They attempt to find normalcy while battling with their own personal demons. Their adopted mother Jacquelyn Knight (Vanessa Williams type) is a personally wealthy city attorney who has made it her life’s work to rid the city of the uncatchable and overlooked scourge that plagues it. When one of her children crosses the line and discovers she is not who they thought she was, and the lies of the past come bubbling to the surface, Jacquelyn tries desperately to re-cover her tracks and hold her family together. Pilot Synopsis: The series begins with the only female Reaper in the house, Trish (17), stalking a local child murderer who’s believed to be dumping the bodies of his young victims into Lake Michigan. Trish begins to take more pleasure in her job when she realizes there is more to the kill. She and her brothers, Eli (18) and Xavier (18) await the arrival of a new addition to the house. Trish isn’t happy about having someone else in the house and goes out of her way to make it clear. With her change in behavior as of late, Eli becomes concerned and enlists their mother’s help to find out what’s going on. Jacquelyn (40ish) uses this opportunity to try and get something from Trish that she has desperately been wanting. Although her plan doesn’t go exactly as she hopes, the groundwork has been laid for later. Eli is glad that mother will have someone else to focus her attention on once Dane (16) arrives, so he can begin doing things on his own. After discovering that Eli has been lying about his activities, Jacquelyn decides to show him exactly how important she is and why it’s in his best interest to stay with the family.
