Hospital Cook Mary Brown, better known as Typhoid Mary, chases down a controversial medical career while running from the legacy of her reputation as the original superspreader.  Add Harry Houdini and his real-life physician brother, Dr. Leopold Weiss, to the mix, and soon a wealthy cancer victim discovers three plans for curing her cancer- science, magic, and perhaps a little typhoid.
