SYNOPSIS:

Once upon an ancient time, ARTAIR (Jim Sturgess, 30s), our hero, is secretly born to the Fae Queen and rejected by his father, King Arthur. With Faerie magic in his DNA, cocky Artair transcends the spacetime continuum until called upon in 2154 to confront ubiquitous evil. LORD BÁS (Cillian Murphy, 30s), the antagonist, steals the Utpala Blàthaigh (Heart of Magic from the Faerie Realm), unleashes Fae magic, turned dark by his nefarious touch, into the 3rd dimension and sets the stage for Earth’s ultimate destruction. As his magic dwindles, Artair’s bloodline awakens him to claim Excalibur, the mystical sword of legends. Along with Excalibur comes his secret love interest, the Lady of the Lake, NINIANE (Keira Knightley, 20s). As she has been bound to Excalibur for eons and doesn't trust Artair, Niniane joins him on his quest. Artair's trusted companion, an albino puma, joins them and together, the trio dives into a perilous odyssey through Lord Bás’ mercurial realm interwoven with London torn apart by egocentric greed, and the pandemonium of magic gone wild. Through their journey, Niniane softens to Artair’s determination to prove himself worthy and to save Mother Earth. Meanwhile, Bás lusts after Niniane, traps her only to have Artair set her free again. After saving each other’s lives several times, reluctantly Artair and Niniane are forced to split up. Artair and his puma engage in a bloodless battle, fighting together to prevent chaotic London from being ripped apart. Simultaneously, Niniane opens a portal into Bás’ alternate reality and steps through it to find the Heart of Magic hidden within. Excalibur extracts the stolen magic from all matter in the 3rd dimension and channels it into Artair. With the intensity of immeasurable magic coursing through his veins, Artair feels godlike and is tempted to keep it for himself and to rule the world. Although Niniane wavers under the cruelties and seductions of powerful Bás, she retrieves the Utpala Blàthaigh and casts a spell on Bás. Artair returns the stolen magic to the Heart. And just when they think they’ve won, Bás materializes for the final challenge. Artair, with a new respect for power gained through Excalibur, takes Bás on, vanquishes him to his realm and saves Niniane from evil’s grasp. The balance of Earth's reality is restored to 2154. Love triumphs, returning Artair and Niniane to the Lake for their earned interlude. Artair receives an unexpected gift from Merlin and they learn that Avalon begins to awaken.
