Born without legs below the knees, young Declan Farmer loves sports but struggles to find one where he can truly be part of a team. Then his life changes when he discovers the sport of sled hockey - a fast-paced sport with hard hits that he shows natural talent for. With the support and sacrifices made by his family, Declan becomes the youngest person ever invited to join the national team. Under the mentorship of legendary coach Jeff Sauer, Declan thrives, becoming one of the best forwards in the world as the team wins gold at the 2014 Paralympic Games. But a case of overconfidence and the unexpected passing of Coach Sauer threaten to derail the team as they head into the 2018 Games where they will have to face off against rivals Team Canada and embrace what it truly means to be a team.
