SYNOPSIS:

Parker “Little Star” Scott, named after her father, was born into a family of music stardom – her dad’s mother, Grandma Calliope 'Faith' Scott – was a musical legend with legions of loyal fans going back decades; followed by her son, Parker, who naturally stepped into the spotlight. But Parker took the popular train, and became a fast and hard country star, and loved every minute of all of the trappings of ego, groupies and fame. He married young, to a classical pianist who gladly gave up her ambition for the fun of fame’s coattails. Even at the tender age of 5, their daughter, Parker, showed incredible promise. Her family and town knew she would not only carry on in the family’s footsteps, but she’d probably surpass them all. As a result, her parents don’t know how to raise her. Thankfully, Grandma, who knows she's just a little girl who loves music, is there to step in. She knows this because that’s how she once was. This is where our story starts. Parker’s innocence at that age freezes in time when her father is killed in a tour bus accident, and of everyone on the bus, she and the band mate who is her father’s lifelong friend, are the only two who know what really happened. Junior, trying to save Faith from the pain of the truth, takes responsibility for the accident not knowing that Little Parker knows what really happened. While friends and family deal with the aftermath and Junior shunned by Faith leaves on his own journey, the young star sinks deep into her music, and her mother sinks deep into the bottle, leaving her daughter little guidance. Grandma Faith doesn’t want the industry to eat this girl up and that with the perceived cause of the accident sends her into an emotional tailspin. Faith has a nervous breakdown. The media sensationalizes Faith’s downfall and she makes Little Parker promise not to fall into the trappings of celebrity music. But when the frenzy becomes too much, Faith’s husband decides the best thing is to let everyone think its true Faith is dead, otherwise the stress will kill her. This leaves Parker with nobody to guide her and sets her on a journey of running from those trying to push her into the child welfare system on top of her repressed truth of what happened on that bus. Parker denies her talent until it has no place else to go, she finally realizes that she has to honor her family and her God given talent and runs away in hopes of performing in the talent showcase where her father was discovered.Picked up by the police, Parker faces an uncertain future. Faith summons the courage to come out of seclusion to save her granddaughter and shocks all by her appearance. Haunted by the past, Parker reveals the truth of what really happened on the tour bus forcing her grandmother to seek the strength for redemption and forgiveness. Parker, Faith and Junior find that forgiveness and the power of music leads them to healing hearts, reuniting family, and renewing faith.
