Four young fairies are stripped of their powers and forced to walk home from the Star Light Council Chambers into the lower parts of the forest after the youngest of them, Myla, angrily misuses her power and mutates her 3 sisters.

With their wings stilled and not being able to fly, the girls journey home.

They uncover the truth behind their parent's abduction and they discover that the guiding source of power for Starlight Forest is in the claws of a banished owl thug which was stolen from the council headquarters.

"The Book of Light" is recovered by the sister's from the entangled thug and this hurls the sisters into a race for their lives and the lives of their community from Elcefah’s gang of owls.
