I immediately became captivated by the story of this young man’s life; the story of Liberian civil war, the murders of his family, years of jungle survival, life in refugee a refugee camps, and the eventual journey to America, where – by the grace of God – the most amazing thing happened! After listening to this young man’s story for 2 hours in my office reception area, tears coming down my 64-year-old face, I knew this story must be chronicled and I immediately began working on an story outline.
