THE BLIND WITNESS
By Ben Gilani

GENRE: Thriller, Horror
LOGLINE:

To make the restless spirits stop tormenting him, a psychic blind boy must convince those still angry at them, even now that they are dead, to forgive them.

SYNOPSIS:

Tristan Altman is a reserved 13-year-old boy who lost his vision in a car accident when he was four. Tristan is visited and terrorized by the restless spirits of the deceased, who want him to get the forgiveness of people still angry at them even now that they are dead. These spirits show Tristan the incident that angers them, what and how they happened, want him to explain what he saw, and convince them they must let go of their grudge against these dead people’s spirits so they can rest in peace. Tristan is confused. He wants to know his purpose in life, why he can see those spirits, and what they show him.

Thinking that relocating can stop these scary hauntings, Tristan's parents have decided to change their residence and move to a new house. They move to a neighborhood where Detective Sheila Moore and her young daughter Nusha also reside. Tristan and his parents meet Sheila and her daughter. They get acquainted and become friends quickly.

The same day they move, Tristan's parents leave him alone at home and return to their old house to bring the few remaining boxes. But they are very late, and this worries Tristan. He tries to contact them but to no avail. Here is when he is visited and terrorized by yet another restless spirit. Aside from scaring Tristan to death, the spirit shows and tells him something that greatly saddens and shocks him.

The attack causes Tristan to escape the house and seek help. But he is new to the neighborhood and knows no one except Sheila. The terrified boy visits Sheila in her office at the police station, tells her about the attack, and asks for her help. Sheila wants to know how she can help. Tristan tells her she will understand how to help after hearing and believing the story he is about to tell. Tristan begins telling a story.

What Tristan reveals to Sheila from this point is a jolt that awakens them both to something unexpected and bizarre.

an interesting idea, however, in my opinion, the description lacks motivation and drama.

Try to shift the focus to a blind boy - A blind boy during bouts of demonic possession gains the ability to see and uses this opportunity to take cruel revenge on all his abusers.

Hi Arthur, thank you for your comment and logline suggestion. But that's not how the story goes.. The script contains plot twists, which I don't want to reveal in the logline. I've thought about the logline for a long time and finally decided this will be the logline. So, if you read the logline and the synopsis, you'll get a more interesting picture of what this script is about.
