Perceptions is a dramedy with a bit of sci-fi. John is an ordinary man living in a normal world when his perceptions of that world begin to change with his encounter with an eccentric stranger. This stranger gives John a gift that allows him to see clearly through the lenses of life's spectacles that expose his ill conceived notions of those around him.

SYNOPSIS:

Perceptions is a story about your normal IT guy, who works in your normal IT office. It kind of started off as like an office space kind of feel with a sci-fi twist.

The main characters in the story are John, Fred, Audet and Glasses. As well as sub-characters, at least initially, Katrina, Cedric, and Greg. John and Fred are work buddies who drive to work together, joke around and work in an office with it's own quirks into how they behave such as having a meeting to discuss pointless meetings.

As Fred and John continue to go out to lunch, John is approached by an older gentleman with disheveled hair. That individual keeps showing up until John and this man finally interact. His name is Glasses and he introduces John to pair of glasses. These glasses are supposed to help John see life's true vision.

John stumbles in trying to see through the glasses, but eventually comes to a startling revelation, at the end of the pilot episode, where he finally sees through the glasses at Audet. That is after frustration interactions with Glasses who uses riddle style clues to help John not only try to see, but grow. These aren't mind-games or lies or theft. They are, unknown to John at the time as they are more frustrating, clues to help him grow in his spiritual vision that help the glasses end up growing with John.
