“1920s true story drama of the most successful magician/mentalist in America who hires twin teenage assistants to travel the West Cost Vaudeville circuit-only to discover bootleggers and Chinese drug smugglers hidden behind the scenes."
SYNOPSIS:
After seeing their father shot and killed when they are just seven years old, twins Lisa and Monika learn to support each other through the traumas and the celebrations of their lives. Using their sisterly bond and telepathy, they always look out for each other, staying together to battle against sleazy men, scam artists and jealous women.
They are employed by a magician who takes them on tour and introduces them to the glamorous celebrity life full of fur coats, paparazzi and cocaine. The Chinese drug cartel and the FBI are after their new boss and the twins are asked to rat on him for the feds. Meanwhile, Lisa tries to help her sister Monika with her recently acquired drug addiction.
But when the theatre burns down, they travel with the Magician to Washington state where they regain their footing and are convinced to pose nude for him. As the magician makes a drug run across the water for the Chinese drug cartel, a fight ensues and a shipwreck destroys the black market business. Lisa dies during this battle. Monika lives on, pained with the memory of her twin sister. She marries the FBI agent and continues to read futures in LA.
