For those who did earn something (anything!) by screenwriting, what did you do with your first earnings? Most of mine went into the bank but I did treat myself to a MacBook and a Dyson vacuum I'd had my eye on! Oh and my husband wasn't sure what to think of my relatively new chosen career (I only st...

Most of mine went into the bank but I did treat myself to a MacBook and a Dyson vacuum I'd had my eye on! Oh and my husband wasn't sure what to think of my relatively new chosen career (I only started in 2009 and got paid early 2012) until he was looking at the paper and saw his fave team, the Mets were playing up in Toronto. "What a shame we can't go..." I reminded him of the check we just put in the bank... So after the family trip overnight in in Canada he was a little more into my work, haha. If you have not earned yet, what would you like to treat yourself to?

Hi Gals And Guys, I am a 52 year old optimist, who has worked as a builder for more than 30 yrs, but I have always aspired for a different life. Back in the late 70's I came up with RoadRash, which then was a T-shirt and leather jacket painting pastime. Many years later, late 80's I trained as a stuntman, next-door to Coronation Street, Manchester, UK, but then went into education (Geology) for 6 years, but no work ensued. So back to what I knew. But after years of writing poetry and songs, I started coming up with stories and finally I have put them to paper and hope to get them published soon. It's Sci-Fi, Fantasy but it has a deep seated story and looks like being a 5 part trilogy. I would like to go down the traditional path of finding an agent e.t.c. but at the moment it looks like a self-publishing project, any advice would be appreciated. If you would like a look at the book please PM me. All this has led to a review site that follows many genres of tv, film and others, which now is trying to support English language Indie films as well as main stream releases.

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB
