Criticism should only make the desire to reach your goals grow stronger. I take a NO as simply that, OK no big deal I will keep trying it doesn't hurt my feelings. I will move on and keep taking NO until I get a YES. Josh should have told him up front "NO, but thank you for asking." The writer should have said "I apologize for placing you in such an awkward position," and moved on. Lots of people took it in the snout before becoming successful including STEPHEN KING:The first book by this author, the iconic thriller Carrie, received 30 rejections, finally causing King to give up and throw it in the trash. His wife fished it out and encouraged him to resubmit it, and the rest is history, with King now having hundreds of books published the distinction of being one of the best-selling authors of all time.
