Respected professor and family man Ruben Esteban suffers a traumatic brain injury and nearly dies. At first, his family is relieved that he survives. SYNOPSIS:

CEREBRAL begins as a story about a man who experiences a traumatic head injury and is never the same again despite the hopes and wishes of his family. While his daughter likes to think that which doesn’t kill you only makes your stronger, his wife finds that the stronger her brain damaged husband grows physically in his rehabilitation, the worse he becomes emotionally and personality-wise. Initially seen as a good man, loved by his family and respected by his colleagues, Ruben Salazar devolves into a man who terrorizes his own family as he tries to recover from this life-changing incident. So much so that his doting wife, who has fought throughout the story to get her husband back and hold her family together, has to resort to desperate measures in the end to protect herself and daughter.
