A pro thief races to hunt down the man that left his wife for dead before the cops do, only to discover that the man responsible is a cop on a revenge mission of his own.

SYNOPSIS:

After an anonymous tip-off leaves professional thief Tobias Chase shot and injured by a police SWAT team, he is forced into hiding, leaving behind his wife and loyal crew.

Two years on, Chase’s wife, Dana, is attacked and left in a coma. Tobias comes out of hiding and sets his sights on feared mob boss, Angelo Fontana, his ruthless former employer. Tobias assembles his team, but first he must be prepared to abandon his ‘no kill’ policy.

Tobias becomes a target himself when Shepherd and Turner, the detectives assigned the task of finding Dana’s attacker, learn that the woman’s husband is a known criminal and wanted man.

When Tobias and his band of criminals unleash a wave of destruction against Fontana’s empire, killing his corrupt solicitor and turning one of his seedy clubs into a shooting gallery, Fontana makes it known amongst his informants that he wants Tobias dead.

As Turner and Shepherd’s investigation leads them to Tobias’ location, their conflicting approaches to policing and their opposing priorities become clear; while Shepherd hunts Fontana’s henchman that likely attacked Dana, Turner chooses to bring in Tobias.

When Tobias escapes from Turner, and Shepherd finds the henchman murdered, Shepherd is told that the case is as good as closed. Feeling increasingly bound by red tape and frustrated by his apathetic peers, Shepherd seeks out Tobias on his own terms and comes to the realisation that he and Tobias both seek the same end…justice.

Tobias risks arrest and Shepherd risks his job when they form an uneasy alliance and work together to bring down Fontana.

Together Shepherd and Tobias utilise their skills as cop and criminal to raid Fontana’s many illegitimate businesses and detain his thugs in jail, paving the way for Tobias and his last remaining crew member to lead an all out attack on the man’s estate.

But just as Tobias and his second in command, are bargaining for the life of their friend, Dana wakes from her coma, revealing the true identity of her attacker…detective Turner.

After losing his partner in the bullet ridden heist that forced Tobias into hiding, Turner was corrupted by his need for vengeance. With a warped approach to justice he attacked Dana as a means of luring Tobias out into the open.

A shootout at Fontana’s estate leaves Tobias’ men and Fontana’s men dead. Tobias achieves what he set out to do and finally kills Fontana. But when Shepherd uncovers Turner’s secret, he and Tobias must now race to stop the corrupt cop from finishing what he started.

During a stand-off between Tobias, Shepherd and Turner, Dana begs her husband to put a stop to the violence and give up his quest for revenge. She confesses that it was she who tipped of the police two years before, telling Tobias she would have rather seen her husband behind bars than in his grave.

Devastated and betrayed, Tobias lets his guard down. Turner seizes his opportunity and guns down Tobias, and Shepherd shoots Turner dead.

After considering what would be the most painful way to die whilst plotting his bloody revenge, Tobias Chase learns the hard way – the worst way to die is to die alone.
