An aging woman with Alzheimer’s becomes the key to solving a murder after she tries an experimental drug that brings her memory back.
SYNOPSIS:
Irene, a woman in her later 60’s has lead a successful professional life and is proud of the legacy she is leaving to her children. Still much more to live, more goals to attain and more memories to be made, all that is cut short by a single diagnosis and a rapid descent into the terrifying reality of Alzheimer’s. Irene’s husband becomes her aid and faithful companion during these trying times, until he is murdered. Irene and her failing memory are the only living witnesses to the murder, hardly a threat to the crime ring and corrupt police chief responsible; until she is chosen to try an experimental drug seeking to restore memory to Alzheimer’s patients. Her memory restoration doesn’t go unnoticed and what could have been a blessing becomes a curse that puts a price on her head. Through Irene’s perception we gain sight into the declining mind of a person suffering with Alzheimer’s. Would a few pieces of a puzzle be enough to uncover the truth behind her husband’s murder and crime beyond?
