By Marie D. Jones

GENRE: Thriller, Horror
LOGLINE:

A famous female Bigfoot hunting team, led by a woman searching for her missing sister, competes with a male team to find irrefutable evidence of the dangerous creatures in the notorious Alaskan Triangle, only to discover they are all being stalked by a far deadlier, ancient threat that has risen from the melted permafrost.

SYNOPSIS:

When a popular cable television show offers a huge cash prize for irrefutable evidence of the existence of Bigfoot in the Alaskan Triangle, an area notorious for paranormal activity, a diverse female team and a male team both step up and compete for the money. For the leader of the female team, SARAH BARNES, it’s more than just about finding proof. It’s about finding who, or what, was behind the mysterious disappearance of her sister in the same area ten years ago.

The two groups meet at the High Point Resort, where Sarah runs in to DR. JONAS TEMPLETON, a paleoclimatologist who has arrived to oversee a mammoth dig site and survey team nearby. The two bond, which doesn’t sit well for JOE CHU, the leader of the male Bigfoot team, who once dated Sarah and still holds a torch. Joe has an ego the size of Alaska and is determined to win the contest.

The teams head into the woods in different directions in their hunt for the elusive Bigfoot. It isn’t long before strange things happen, including a bizarre symbol made of twigs that appears around both camps, horrific roars and screeches that are clearly not human, and classic footprints and wood knocks associated with Bigfoot sightings all over the world. But is this the activity of Bigfoot...or the resort owner out to get some publicity for the contest?

It’s only when two of the team members vanish, and huge claw-like footprints appear, that the opposing teams realize it might be time to band together to fight the threat. Then, the female team’s camerawoman, RITA, is witnessed being taken into the sky by a massive, winged creature, and suddenly the threat of Bigfoot seems dwarfed by a bizarre and previously unknown new danger that forces them to forfeit the contest.

When Jonas arrives to check on Sarah at her team’s campsite after his site team is run off by a deer stampede, he reveals a secret that must be told. The excavation revealed a giant egg in the permafrost...and it hatched not long ago.

The two bigfoot teams and Jonas decide to return to the resort. On the way back they discover the excavation team never made it back to the resort…their SUV is found torn to shreds and gruesome evidence that no one survived the attack.

When the teams reach the resort, they find dead bodies lying everywhere. The carnage is massive. No one was spared. They realize that the true threat they are facing is not one that walks on two legs. In fact, it flies, and it has reanimated from its ancient hibernation under layers of snow and ice where it has evolved over time into genetic disaster, a monstrosity. The team also discovers they have allies in their fight against whatever it is that came out of the egg.

Bigfoots who are ready to fight the monstrosity that is not only killing humans, but their own species. When the battle begins and the dust finally settles, the monstrosity will fall at the hands of two species working together. The final death blows will be delivered by Sarah and the Mother Bigfoot in revenge of the deaths of those they loved.

Months later, the remaining team members join Jonas and Sarah on a new expedition. They return to the original dig site to try and locate other eggs that may be hiding under the permafrost and destroy them before new monstrosities can be born. Little do they know that in other countries, under other layers of ice and snow, there are hundreds, no, thousands of other eggs...waiting...
