It's high times after a young fast food worker stumbles upon a backpack full of weed that accidentally winds up on the evening’s menu, affecting the odd assortment of locals in a small Texas town.
SYNOPSIS:
KEVIN, 17, is riding his scooter with a broken headlight at night on his way to work at the Taco Delite. He stumbles upon a backpack of weed that is owned by the drug dealer, CREEPER. Kevin takes the backpack and proceeds to work. Soon after, he is pulled over by the Facebook-loving police officer, REGGIE, and his Facebook-hating partner, TOM. Reggie scolds Kevin for driving at night without lights, takes a selfie with Kevin, sends him a Facebook friend request, and then sends him on his way.
Kevin arrives at the Taco Delite where there is an odd assortment of cliques hanging out in the parking lot. The popular clique is lead by CHAD, who likes to take practice swings with his golf clubs and argue over BMW versus Mercedes. Chad makes fun of Kevin’s scooter but Chad’s cheerleader girlfriend, NICOLE, defends Kevin. Kevin has a crush on Nicole. The LARPER clique dresses up like wizards and knights. CHRIS pretends he’s Harry Potter and is very sensitive if anyone questions Harry Potter’s great power as a wizard. The ROTC clique can’t wait to fight in the Middle East and they are lead by BRIAN, who is annoyed that his mother made him bring his stoner brother, LARRY, with them.
Kevin rushes into work with the backpack of weed. He’s not at work for long before he sees Officers Reggie and Tom ordering food at the counter. He freaks out and tells his work mate, EDDIE, about the weed and the cops. Eddie tries to help Kevin hide the weed without getting caught but finally, in desperation, decides to put the weed into the restaurant’s ground beef, which gets made into tacos and burritos.
Word quickly gets out on social media that the Taco Delite has 420 tacos so the parking lot quickly fills up with stoners in VW busses. Officers Reggie and Tom are parked there as well and are completely oblivious to what is going on during their heated discussion about Facebook.
Soon after, the libertarian drug dealer, Creeper and his partner, JIMMY, arrive at the restaurant looking for their backpack. They confront Kevin, who plays dumb. Officer Reggie comes into the restaurant for a refill of his drink, recognizes Creeper and asks him if they are Facebook friends. Creeper and Jimmy leave to avoid Reggie.
An epic fight breaks out in the parking lot between all the cliques – the popular clique wielding golf clubs, the LARPER clique wielding foam swords and wands, and the ROTC clique wielding wood practice rifles. During this commotion, Creeper and Jimmy sneak back into the restaurant seeking their backpack, this time dressed in dentist mascot costumes to hide their identities. They hold Kevin and Eddie hostage and demand that they get their weed back. One by one, the leaders of the cliques in the parking lot escape the battle and go hide in the restaurant.
Creeper and Eddie look for the backpack of weed in the kitchen while Jimmy holds teens hostage including Kevin, Chad, Nicole, Chris, and Brian. The teens take this time to discuss the different pressures they feel associated with their clique. Kevin’s parents don’t love each other anymore, Nicole’s dad is dating a girl who is too young for him, Chris’ mom pressures him to get good grades, Brian has to be in the military like his dad and grandfather.
Kevin sees that Officers Reggie and Tom are still parked in the parking lot, arguing about Facebook. Since Kevin is Facebook friends with Reggie, he sends him a private message with his cell phone. Reggie gets the message so he and Tom go into the restaurant and save the hostages.
Kevin takes Nicole home on his scooter. He gets her phone number and goes home where he calls her.
