Lets see...some days I'm Gloria, other days I'm a stranger to myself, and I call this stranger 'she who writes to 'tell'. When 'she who writes' shows up, I'm driven to 'fall into the hole' as one great author (Stephen King) described. More about me: Author; radio journalist; book lover & book reviewer; advocate for Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking Awareness. I'm also a Breast Cancer Survivor, given 2 years to live. Well, I' working on my 3rd year! However, I'm living with the residual effects of chemotherapy--extreme neuropathy in my limbs and lymphedema in my right arm. BUT I'M STILL ALIVE, & IN! I want to produce a documentary about 'little-talked about dark-side' of this issue. When someone is diagnosed with Cancer, or any other catastrophic illness, this can tax the emotional/mental/ physical state of some care-takers who most likely feel guilty for even wanting a break; 2) When a family member is diagnosed with Cancer, or any Catastrophic illness, they could eventually looking at financial ruin; especially since the one who's sick may have little, or no, income If you have time, please view my video, created for a Breast Cancer organization; it describes my journey with Cancer: https://youtu.be/2tLFLnB68gw
