While searching for an interesting character story in the wake of a devastating hurricane, a reporter settles on a lone man with no identification other than a name “Jack” sewn into his work shirt and no memory of who he is, where he came from, or how he got there. However, the live airing of this brief interview catches the attention of some very nasty and powerful people in Los Angeles who know exactly who “Jack” is and will stop at nothing to see him dead.
