When a grieving, retired spy gets a distress call from her estranged son, she travels to Morocco in search of him, unearthing a viperous maze of lies, terror, and his many secrets.

SYNOPSIS:

Ada was once an elite spy, operating in the deadliest parts of the world. When a tragic accident killed one of her sons back home, Ada buried her grief in work and pills. As the years passed, the remains of their family all but dissolved. Ada retired, finally got clean, and began a quiet life.

And then one day, she receives a call from her disaffected son, a mysterious distress signal from Morocco. Ada summons every skill in her worn and battered arsenal to track him down. As she follows the breadcrumbs into a dangerous labyrinth of twists and false turns, she discovers that she was not the only one in the family keeping secrets. Now she must fight for her only remaining child, to the ends of the earth.

This screenplay was previously optioned in 2019, however, the option was not renewed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
