They will face constant threats from various enemies who pose dramatic life or death situations each episode. It’s about what lengths they have go to, to protect the streets. The story centres on SARA CROMWELL, an ex-marine who joined up at the tender age of 18 who returned to her home in East London four years later and joined the Police Force. And this is where the story starts, Sara on patrol with her partner who are suddenly under attack by an armed youth. MARK STONE and his highly trained armed officers lead a manhunt to track down the shooter, who they later corner and bring into custody. Sara recovers from the attack, but is haunted by her partner’s death and not being armed to protect them. A seed is planted not only for the lead character who will become the forth ever female SCO19 officer by the end of the pilot, but also the theme of being armed...
But like all other interesting lead characters in TV shows, Sara has skeletons in her closet -hers linking to the main man behind gun trafficking in the country.
It will be very topical, gritty, dark, dramatic, and of course violent so therefore see it suited for a channel like channel 4 or perhaps Sky. With its dark characters and stories, the audience will be very much adult.
