A series based on expat families living in the heart of the Mediterranean, whose children don’t appreciate what they have and think the homelands of their parents are much more exotic (strip malls, slurpies and all).
SYNOPSIS:
A TV series based on expat families living in the heart of the Mediterranean. The children of these expats have beautiful, European lives, but they don’t appreciate what they have and think the homelands of their parents (the US and Northern Europe) are much more exotic. The main character, a Spanish American mother named Celeste, along with her best friend, Greta, are on a constant quest to enrich their children’s lives, but the children don’t care. The kids say things like, ‘castles and museums are the worst part of my life.’ The moms are comedic: Celeste has major, practically unmanageable road rage and single Greta has a big crush on the school principal. The women also don’t blend in with the difficult and snobby locals and often find themselves feeling like fish out of water. At times, we see that the moms are contradicting their own feelings to influence their kids to love where they live.
