SYNOPSIS:

Apocalypse Angel Robert A. Fischer (301) 514-8966 – rafischer@authornovelist.com Logline: Chosen to lead the forces of good in the end-times battle, a moral and introverted teenage fencer must kill the unborn spawn of Satan and her best friend or doom New Earth to an incarnate Satan’s evil reign forever. It’s Angel’s 18th birthday. Unfortunately, it’s also the end of the world. People of good have gone to Heaven, and people of evil have gone to Hell, except those who remain behind to serve Satan in his war to reign over the New Earth. Those left behind will roam for eternity as mindless zombies. Those chosen by God to remain behind prevent him from doing so. They will inherit New Earth if they succeed. Angel is visited by a messenger from God, her guardian angel Alex. He tells her that God has chosen her to lead the Earth forces of good during Armageddon. She is to lead an army equipped only with swords, spears, and archery weapons to overtake evil’s east coast headquarters in New Orleans. Angel does not know why she is chosen for this task. She has no fighting or leadership skills. Satan sends a host of minions to discourage and defeat her but refuses to go himself. He is too busy fighting the war. She trains for her new task at Heaven’s Boot Camp in the majestic mountains of Suches, Ga. Her long time prideful and envious nympho friend Riz is seduced by three devils Asmodeus (Asmo), and two others to become the bride of Satan and to bear his hell-child. She is shocked to discover that the Devil seduced Riz (renamed Lilith by Satan) and commands his Louisiana headquarters. Her only purpose is to stop Angel and her army. Riz/Lilith and her unborn child must die although Angel has ambivalent feelings regarding that! While in training, she engages in a deadly battle with her old fencing opponent who turns out to be the demon son of Asmodeus seeking her head. Angel is disturbed to learn that her fiancé Chris has fallen to the seduction of Lilith and is now her new henchman/love slave. This is the final blow that sends her to complete her mission. Ambivalence is no longer an option. She must kill them both. On her journey, she fights major battles in Atlanta and Biloxi, dealing with hellish forces along the way. She engages in wild battle scenes with demons, cambions, gargoyles, goblins, zombies, trolls, dragons, and varied ancient Roman and Greek mythical creatures that no one ever imagined existed. Angel in time falls in love with Abe, her second in command. She is torn between Chris, her fiancé turned evil who still loves her, and Abe. She needs and desires the love he can give her, but shuns it due to her unresolved love and loyalty to Chris. The clock is ticking as they fight the 3-day battle of New Orleans. If the child is born, he will become Satan incarnate on Earth. As they approach Lilith’s lair, with just hours remaining, Lilith escapes and Angel is abducted by Asmo to a torture chamber and is placed on an X-Cross where Lilith and Chris await along with Asmo. Lilith commands Chris to kill Angel with her own sword. He refuses and Lilith lunges at her with a knife. Chris steps in front of Angel accepting the knife into his chest while he stabs Lilith in her pregnant belly with Angel’s sword killing the almost-born child. With just minutes remaining and with his last breath, Chris and Angel each exchange an ‘I love you’. He cuts the bindings on Angel’s hands and she swings cutting off Lilith’s head, sending her to hell. Uriel arrives in the in time to banish Asmo to Hell and save Angel. Mission completed, Angel and Abe embrace and kiss wondering what will happen next. There is still much evil in the world and Angel has grown into a warrior woman and is ready to handle it.
