SYNOPSIS:
An edgy story of greed and ownership. Can we ever escape our past? Bernie Napolino’s life is spiraling out of his control. His greedy Mom, Maxine has him under her thumb. Bernie is enticed to launder money through his restaurant to keep her happy and his opinionated daughter Nancy supported until she gets her accounting degree. Now with degree in hand, Nancy and her imminent return to Chicago, triggers poor desperate Bernie's to search for an alternate income in oil to satisfy his mother’s desire for wealth. Nancy soon discovers of her father’s laundering mob money for Vito, the Mob boss. Vito detects resistance from Bernie and threatens his family. He holds Maxine hostage, at her suggestion, but his hoods accidently kill her. Bernie is horrified of Maxine’s murder, at her funeral that he comes to suspect that should he in any way fail to tow the line, his beloved daughter will be at risk. On the day of his restaurant’s audit, Bernie’s suspicions locked into fact when batches of Vito’s men posing as “family” appear at the audit. Once the audit is over, clearly the now less-than-trusted Bernie and his daughter may prove most "inconvenient." This sends Bernie over the edge, forcing this mild man into withdrawing mob money to finance their escape. He injects a plan into action, grabbing resistant Nancy and running with Vito’s cash. Upon discovering that Bernie has made off with over one million dollars of their cash, the Mafia Hoods give chase, as Bernie and Nancy make a mad dash run to oil rich Texas, where they fall into the clutches of deadly con man whose touting his own brand of greed while he plans their demise— http://oilrunmovie.com
