SYNOPSIS:

John Connor has a nightmare about Cameron, his terminator protector, dying. He wakes to find himself being held prisoner by The Resistance. He is interrogated by Derek Reese, now a colonel commanding the troops in a Los Angeles bunker, but John is not forthcoming. A squad of resistance soldiers commanded by Kyle Reese returns to the bunker, reporting the successful destruction of an enemy vehicle. A member of this squad, Allison Young, gives John some food in his cell. John recognizes Allison as the person Cameron's appearance was based on. Derek Reese sees John's reaction to Allison and makes the young woman interrogate John, hoping to provoke a response. During subsequent questioning, John reveals that he's looking for Cameron, but then lets slip that he did not arrive in Derek's bunker alone. Angered, Derek confronts John on his evasiveness, and when John asks to join Derek's group, Reese kicks him out of his bunker. John wanders in the wasteland of Los Angeles, and stops inside a ruined house to gather makeshift supplies. Meanwhile, Kyle's squad, with Allison as a scout, is sent on a salvage mission to recover weapons and ammunition from the vehicle they destroyed earlier. A unit of terminators appears at the site, Kyle's squad sets up an ambush and a firefight ensues. John hears the sounds of fighting and heads towards the noise. In the course of the battle, several Resistance soldiers are killed or wounded, all the terminators are destroyed, and John rescues Kyle. In thanks, Kyle takes John back to Derek's bunker and decides to train John as a soldier. In the final scene, the T-1001 which accompanied John to the Future finds John Henry, an AI entity that John and the T-1001 are searching for.
