SYNOPSIS:

John undergoes rigorous training at the hands of Kyle Reese and his new squadmates, which initially goes poorly but John quickly improves. The other Resistance Fighters do not think much of him, some actively dislike him. John befriends Sikes, the quartermaster and weapons trainer for Derek's unit. Connor joins Kyle's unit on a long range reconnaissance mission in the Los Angeles suburbs. After setting up a temporary base camp, John scouts the local area with Allison, Cpl. Graphia, the team medic, and Sgt. Miller, Kyle's second in command. He encounters a crazed elderly woman who attacks him. Allison saves his life and his other squadmates scold John for his naivete. 2 weeks pass, the squad still has found nothing. John returns to the base with Allison and some of his squadmates are noticeably friendlier. Meanwhile, John Henry and the T-1001 construct a device. Kyle's squad finds a factory producing Hunter Killer (HK) attack aircraft, then scatter, fleeing from an HK which almost spots them. John reunites with Kyle and Allison, and the three escape from Scout robots sent to hunt them. Kyle's squad returns to Derek's bunker and reports on the enemy facility; Kyle gives John a glowing performance review. John returns to his bunk room and shares a friendly moment with Sikes. As John gets ready to sleep, the T-1001 appears before him.
