Bruce is curious and has a short conversation with them. Ignorant of the wolves small lies, he goes back to sleep again. The next day the five detectives gather at their HQ, and again receive a message of something stolen, so they head out to search for clues. Having a break they discuss what they already know, but unable to come with any solid idea they decide to go home for lunch. On her way home, Piggy runs into the two wolves Bruce met the night before. The wolves get rid of her with a believable lie, and quickly go on with their shady business During lunch Piggy keeps looking at her brother's sweater, with a suspicious feeling. A comment from her mother about a tear in the sweater brings light to her suspicion. She found a piece of fiber with exactly the same colors as her brother’s sweater at one of the crime scenes, and realizes that this can't be a coincidence. With this new discovery the five detectives put all the pieces of the puzzle together and come to the conclusion that it is three of their friends, Sharky, Tony and Piggy’s brother, who are the villains in their mystery. They confront Sharky and his two friends with their findings. They admit to the allegations, but there was no theft involved. It was all staged with the knowledge of the adults, just to give the five kids a nice mystery to solve. However, they are left with one unsolved robbery that Sharky and his friends don’t know anything about. Tony remembers coming across two suspicious wolves in front of that, robbed person´s home, telling him they were house-sitting. Piggy and Bruce reveal their encounter with the wolves, and the eight of them come to the conclusion that the wolves are the once responsible. Knowing where they will strike again, the kids, with the help of the police, catch the thieves in the act and solve their second, accidental, mystery.
