Hi everyone! I created my Stage 32 account in June, but this is my first time posting. I'm a graduate student studying Public Relations and International Relations, and I just recently matriculated into my school's graduate film program as well. I can't say that I'm working on any projects currently, but I started a small, independent production company in my home office a few years ago with some other aspiring filmmakers. We had no clue what we were doing (and, arguably, we still don't really have a clue), but we just started making shorts and submitting them to local festivals and learning by doing. It's all about having fun, and I'd say we have plenty of it. I also teach an undergraduate 100-level course in Multimedia Storytelling, and I love it. I'm interested mostly in production and distribution, as my research interests are focused on how films are distributed abroad and what kinds of affects film has on Public Diplomacy. I also have some acting experience (which I really enjoy), some directing experience, and I've been a director of photography for a few projects as well. I'd love to connect and chat about whatever you do, because at the very heart of filmmaking is storytelling, and I love hearing people's stories.
