The disturbing need of a budding serial killer is discovered by their best friend.

SYNOPSIS:

Twelve-year-olds Jack and Hayley play in a park together and Hayley begins to fantasise and suspects an Old Man that pets every dog that passes him as the recent criminal that has kidnapping dogs from around the park. Hayley uses a dog whistle to startle the dog the Old Man is petting and scares the both of them. Jack reprimands Hayley for scaring them to her displeasure. As they leave, Jack spots a dog disappearing into the thick hedgerow of the park...

Hayley arrives home to find her dog whistle is missing and returns to the park to look for it. The Old Man is there and approaches her, scaring Hayley, she runs into the hedgerow and crawls through the thick undergrowth until she arrives in a grotto made of thorns. Jack is there, bloodied with the corpse of a dog strung up by a trap that has its legs caught.

Jack, suddenly discovered, realises he has to do something. He is trapped between coping with a mysterious inner demon that desires the red inside of things and his love for Hayley. She tries to escape but Jack catches her and is forced to kill her through the hatred of himself, but he has to satisfy his need.
