SYNOPSIS:
[Tall\_Synopsis]
A large Texan family loses their youngest son in the middle of nowhere; young Bill is lost to their world but soon coyotes discover him and raise him from a pup. Apache warrior Geronimo discovers Bill one day and imparts the Apache story and adopts him. But Bill runs back to the coyotes until Bill’s brother discovers him wallowing in the dirt. Bill returns to civilization, not remembering much from his childhood when they called him Pecos Bill for the Pecos River nearby and on account of the whiskey Bill would drink when he was knee-high to a heifer.
Bill adjusts to life as a cowboy with his human family, and while driving cattle discovers Slue-foot Sue riding a catfish out of the Pecos River. They fall in love and marry. Boasting, Sue gets bucked by his steed Widowmaker onto the moon. Bill falls into a drunken funk and must be dried out by Geronimo. Bill and Geronimo defeat the Mexican Army as they attack the Apache. Bill returns and saves the town by riding a twister. He meets Mr. Black who promises that, for his soul, he’ll get Sue back from the moon. Bill signs in blood and in an instant Sue appears.
They meet Paul Bunyan; Pecos Bill and Paul start policing the west, looking for signs of the eastern war. Bill and Paul run into the Apache and are taken prisoner by the Mexican Army only to be rescued by Sue. She has sold her soul to the same Mr. Black to find Bill. While searching for Black, Major Custer takes Bill and Sue prisoner on the prairie, but Paul Bunyan helps them escape. Paul Bunyan double crosses them (since Babe is held prisoner) and turns them over to a land speculator who is set to hang Bill and Sue. Now Babe the Ox rescues them, trampling the land speculator. Disgusted by the remorseful Paul Bunyan, Bill and Sue take Babe back to Texas. A giant windstorm followed by a wildfire wipes out their ranch.
Men are trying to kill them to get out of their soul-debt with Black, and Black is granting their wishes with fire and storm. Paul Bunyan rescues them. Later, they escape General Custer and US Marshals who have surrounded their makeshift ranch and leave for New Orleans in search of Black. Instead, Black finds them and drags both down under the streets. They escape and battle Black, only to have him turn Pecos Bill into a coyote. Sue returns with Pecos the coyote. But Black isn’t dead and he visits Sue once again, and Paul and Pecos the coyote must kill Black for good. The Apache arrive, and with the help of the medicine woman, turn Pecos back into Bill much to the relief of all concerned.
