A mysterious katana-wielding stripper enters the bowels of Los Angeles' criminal underworld in search of vengeance and clues after the city's drug kingpin disappears the only family she knows.

As Long Angeles descends towards complete dystopia, Matryoshka, a mysterious katana-wielding heroine with vengeance on her mind after the disappearance of the love of her life, goes up against suicidal odds in hopes of encountering the person she holds responsible; the boss of bosses, a narco-kingpin with the fitting name of El Diablo. In this dark action thriller that hangs on the fringes of a Tarantino-nian revenge flick, Matryoshka is a not-so-common vindication story that pulls the audience along for the ride as it does some soul searching along the way. As the protagonist battles her inner demons of addiction and self-loathing following the disappearance of her lover, Matryoshka decides to leave the stripper life behind and get back on the path she was bred for, the martial arts, and becoming one of the most dangerous weapons to ever carry a sword. As she finds clues to her lover's disappearance after violent inquisitions with some of LA's most notorious criminals, she slices her way to an atom bomb of a secret; the man she is climbing the ranks to kill could potentially be her real father and the person who first put the sword in her hand.
