SYNOPSIS:

Five guests arrive at a deluxe beach resort near Durban, South Africa. Two of them will be ritualistically murdered in two nights. REGGIE WEBSTER (35) is a successful real estate developer from London, and his diva wife, WAWANI (35), is a powerful half-African and half-British woman. They befriend HARTMAN HESS (50), an attorney from Berlin, on the plane. A local couple from Durban, PATRICK MBATHA (60) and JEWEL MBATHA (60), are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. They are shown to their suites by a brilliant housekeeper/bellhop, ANTONIA LE ROUX (25), who is immediately hit on by Reggie and later propositioned by Hartman. It’s no wonder she hates her job.

Drinks at the bar don’t go well either. Jewel, who is chronically depressed, disapproves of Reggie’s insistence on developing another huge beach resort. Hartman, a real estate competitor to Reggie, wants to build one large private estate on the same land. Reggie talks down to his wife, who was an orphan in Durban, and tipsy Patrick fistfights with Reggie and Hartman for being disrespectful to women. Afterward, drunken Reggie takes a golf cart down the coast as everyone goes to sleep.

The next morning, stern DETECTIVE JOHANNES DE KLERK (45) and jovial, black INSPECTOR THULI KHUMALO (24) find Reggie impaled and tied to a tree resembling a historic Zulu ritual killing. Wawani takes the news in stride, and none of the persons of interest have alibis. Reggie has lots of enemies, and Wawani is going to divorce him anyway. After questioning everyone, Antonia is the only one hauled in for questioning by the police.

The next morning, Hartman is found with a Zulu spear in his heart on his kitchen table, resembling another ritual killing. Antonia is released from jail with the perfect alibi (being with the Inspector all night). Antonia helps the befuddled detectives solve the murders. Additional questioning reveals that motives abound for all the suspects. It could also be murder-for-hire or a crazed Zulu lunatic, but Wawani has the most to gain financially and becomes the lead suspect.

Antonia revisits the crime scenes where she discovers the connection between the murders, and Patrick’s fingerprints are found on the spear that killed Hartman. There is a showdown on a tour van where the Detective plans to arrest Patrick. Patrick draws a pistol in the van and threatens everyone. However, after Jewel drugs Patrick and hits the Detective on the head with the pistol, Antonia accuses Jewel of the murders.

Jewels goes down fighting and threatens everyone. Fast-talking Antonia has the Tour Guide race toward the wildlife park so she and Inspector Thuli can save everyone’s lives. Antonia uncovers Jewel’s environmental protection motives for the killings. Antonia’s distraction helps the Inspector move in with a stun gun on Jewel to prevent further murders. With a twist at the end, Wawani prevents Jewel from killing her husband, and the three fearless women save the day.
