In a town lost to hope, a mysterious stranger arrives. Is he the hope the town needed, is he the second coming? Or is he just someone as lost as the rest? The Second Coming: No one expected green eyes and blue jeans
SYNOPSIS:
A man wakes up in the middle of a field and as he stumbles towards a town, he sees a billboard and the words; Jesus Saves. He comes upon local townsmen and the only name he can give is Jesus Saves. The men explain the situation the town is in; a mine had closed and took many jobs away. It's an everyday survival to make ends meet for the once close-knit community. As a thank you for their hospitality, Jesus Saves takes them to dinner at a local tavern. Soon every encounter he has builds the enigma of his being the second coming. At the tavern, he buys a fish dinner for his new friends, instead of serving water, he accidentally serves wine. He also catches the eye of the waitress who works there; Margo. His friends leave for the night and Margo discovers, he has no place to go. She invites him to spend the night at her house, to take him into her bed. Jesus Saves is oblivious to her advances and in the morning, Jesus Saves is surprised by a knock at the door. He answers the door to find a woman and her son William, who is in a wheelchair. The women heard about the evening miracles where Jesus Saves fed the masses and turned water into wine. She explains that she sat just sat down in the chair one day and refuses to get up, making his mother push him around. Not sure what to do, Jesus Saves yells at William to get out of the chair and then goes back into the house. The mother stands there and watches the 'miracle' as the son stands from the wheelchair. Inside the house, Margo invites Jesus Saves to stay for breakfast. During the meal, Carly visits seeking the blessing of Jesus Saves for her unborn child. Margo convinces Jesus Saves to stay with her for a while until he can find a job or at least remember his true identity. Slowly the stranger provides a miracle for the town and its people.
