Luke Miller tricks his three best friends from college into joining him on a wild goose chase in the Amazon to hunt down the rarest indigenous marijuana strain in the world to make them all filthy rich.

SYNOPSIS:

Four college roommates: Luke Miller, Cameron King, McKenna Adams, and Johnny Hayes conquered college as the members of the “Madhouse”. Then they graduated, the party stopped, some moved, and they all settled for stable careers and graduate degrees. All except Luke.

After three years, Luke is living at home and working for his family’s travel agency until one night, Luke discovers a Vice episode called “Kings of Cannabis”, detailing the life of marijuana prospectors as they search the world for rare indigenous marijuana strains. Mesmerized, Luke believes this is his way to escape his mediocre life. After days of research, Luke discovers in his grandfather’s war journals, an incredible story of a pot farm hidden deep in the Amazon jungle.

Newly impassioned, Luke contacts his friends and tricks them into going on this adventure under the disguise of a cheap vacation. With life finding a way to overwork and stress each of the friends out, this trip takes form as the perfect opportunity to get away for a little R&R. However right when they land, Luke reveals the trip is a strain hunt and not a leisure vacation. The group is ready to kill Luke, until he tells them that if they can successfully find the hidden farm, they would make millions in the US by patenting the rare strains from recovering seeds from healthy mature pot plants.

The excitement of wealth is short lived, after a horrible river boat trip leads into a dangerous two day trek into the jungle. To make matters worse, the farm owner, Klaus, is an horrendous drunk, so they need to enlist the help of an unknown local, Tiago. The journey starts off calm but the dangers far exceed expectations and lead to the death of Klaus. Next Tiago turns on the group, and forces Luke to navigate the rest of the journey leaving the rest of the group behind.

After getting lost in the jungle, the friends later catch up with Luke right as he is forced to the cut the rope on a hemp bridge tossing himself into a waterfall. Luckily he survives and washes ashore in the valley of weed they had been searching for all along. The friends, shortly after, enter the valley, happily reunite with Luke, and recover the pinecone sized seeds from the Mother Plants.

Unfortunately, they are still being pursued by an angry indigenous tribe who begin to burn the whole valley of pot with the friends trapped. Massive clouds of pot smoke fill the air, covering the friends locations, and allowing them to find a hidden tunnel behind the waterfall leading all the way back to the outlying village to safety.

Once back in the states the friends dreams are realized as the seeds they find turn out to have even more prominent healing effects and intensified highs. The friends now run a massive grow operation which also serves as an interactive touring and educational facility on weed.
