In 1969, a Hollywood screenwriter is recruited by Stanley Kubrick and the CIA to help fake the Apollo 11 moon landings.

SYNOPSIS:

A science fiction screenwriter - Bob Jefferson - is approached one day by some CIA agents, who take him to see Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick explains the need to have a "backup" in place, in case the Apollo 11 moon landings go wrong, in which case faked footage would be broadcast across the world. But both Kubrick and Jefferson have been duped, and this footage is the ONLY footage that was ever going to be shown.
