When an adopted, bi-racial teenage girl, Nora, realizes that she possesses special powers, she faces the dilemma of using them for good or evil as she navigates the demands of growing up.

SYNOPSIS:

The series surrounds a teenage girl, Nora Noreland, who is adopted and is mixed race which poses her with many social and personal obstacles as she discovers her special powers. Nora lives at home with her mother, Madeline (Maddy), who struggles after the death of her husband to support the family. Throughout the series beginning (1st and 2nd seasons), Nora is faced with the dilemma of using her powers for good or for evil. The series pilot starts off with Nora using her powers for evil as she helps a crook, Stark, commit petty crimes and destroy his enemies. Nora is manipulated and abused by Stark as she is coerced into committing these crimes. The end of the pilot show Nora being rescued from Stark and returning to her life as a normal girl. The series follows Nora as she develops from a teenage girl into a young woman, and from an ordinary person to a superhero. The show takes place in Los Angeles. The set is on location. People will watch this show because it addresses social and political issues while giving us some action-packed excitement. This is not your typical superhero television show!
