Currently George is in a pre-production of a short film ONE MORE YEAR, based on a short story published in New York Times. The short is a short-to-feature-strategy for feature film with the same title, which planned to go into production next year in Tbilisi, Georgia. George is also writing a feature drama screenplay LORETTA. With WallyBird Productions George is developing a TV series RELATIONSHOP and BEATING AROUND THE BUSH.
In 2019, George directed a teaser for LORETTA, shot on a location in Abiquiu, NM. He also worked as an assistant location manager on FAST & FURIOUS, in Tbilisi, Georgia.
George’s short films VIA GORI, THE BRIDGE, BLACK RAIN have screened over 80 film festivals and won awards for best screenplay and best direction as well as for best film in competition. For couple years, with Shanghai Media Group George was co-producing travel and lifestyle TV shows with Shanghai Art Channel.
George was born in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. While studying sculpture at the Georgian State Academy of Arts, he worked for the Georgian State Television, producing a weekly show. After graduating, George migrated to Sydney, Australia where he earned his degree in film and TV production, wrote and directed several short films and documentaries. Moving around the world and adopting different cultures have earned him his unique vision as a filmmaker, and, a strange accent.
While directing is George's true passion, he always looking for projects and teams of passionate storytellers to join as a writer, co-writer and producer.
