A horrifying figure from the past is given new life when a mudlarker finds a white ribbon and ring on the banks of the Thames.

SYNOPSIS:

Soon after discovering that her mudlarking compatriot Tim has been found dead in horrific circumstances on the riverbank on which they have spent so much time scouring for treasure, Mudlarker Rachel receives a picture from the deceased treasure hunter of a ring that he seemingly discovered just before his death. After finding the ring at the police station Rachel suffers terrifying visions of a Victorian orphanage overseen by a sinister woman and her daughter. After some investigation Rachel discovers that the ring belonged to a horrifying child killer dubbed The Angel Maker by the Victorian Police that were pursuing her. She was suspected of witchcraft and upon her execution she boasted of immortality. A boast that now may have more truth to it than anyone dared imagine for the spirit of the Angel Maker has been released and wants a full bodied return to life. The Angel Maker's great grand daughter Gilda, unaware of her dark ancestry, has also been suffering visions that have caused her family much concern. Gilda and Rachel finally cross paths and must now decide how to stop this murderous spirit who has already claimed the lives of all those who have been in possession of the ring bar Rachel.
